Ferguson -2014

I blinked one day and when I opened my eyes, it was normal to have an American army battling Americans on American streets. No one even calls it a war. But it is.

Don’t forget this crazy shit actually happened.

Don’t forget this shit is STILL happening

Appropriation v. Appreciation: An Illustrated Style Guide
I really enjoyed reading Interrupt Magazine’s take on the difference between appropriating the aesthetic elements of other people’s cultures and appreciating them. It’s targeted at women (who tend to be a bit more aesthetically adventurous, after all) but it all applies to men, as well.
So: if you’ve ever wondered if an Indian blanket-inspired coat is something a white dude should wear, this is a good place to start.
